I’ve gone and set me up a blog site, that’s what. Oh, dear…
I’m taking my inspiration from my amazing friend Ann because she’s gone public herself, and because she keeps encouraging me to write more. I figure what the heck, even if I’m the only one in here reading this (is that masturblogging?), it gives me a place to scribble my opinions about things of vital importance — such as San Marzano tomatoes.
First I will spend time fiddling with cascading style sheets and widgets and special effects so that my site doesn’t embarrass me. Pretty sure I’ll be embarrassed enough by the content itself.

Oh my god, Shelley, is this you?
Somehow Plaxo changed your contact info in my Outlook, putting “http://www.bootnik.com” in the web page address field. So I clicked on it to see why.
The really, really weird thing is that I chose Cutline by Chris Pearson (the same WordPress theme you’re using) for my book blog last week — http://routestocustomers.com/
I chose Cutline because it was the closest that I could find to the blog template used at NYTimes.com, which I think is very readable. I mean in terms of font and layout, not necessarily their slant.
I hear the “doo doo doo doo” music from the Twilight Zone about using Cutline.

Aaaahhh, the mysteries of Internet Karma! Funny about coincidental meetings like this.
I also liked the layout of cutline, Peter, then discovered my friend and colleague Ann had also chosen it. I can’t wait until I have time to roll up my sleeves and customize it… oh, and then there’s that WRITING thing we’re supposed to do on a blog. ;]
